THIS IS AN IMAGINARY FIGHT BETWEEN YOU AND INVISIBLE OPPONENT. THE IDEA IS TO PUT TOGETHER A SERIES OF PUNCHES TO OUT- MANOEUVRE YOUR IMAGINARY SPARRING PARTNER. YOU WILL PROBABLY FEEL A BIT SILLY AT FIRST DANCING AROUND THE ROOM CHASING AN INVISIBLE ENEMY BUT IT WON’T BE LONG UNTIL ALL IS FORGOTTEN IN A HAIL OF JABS, HOOKS AND CROSSES. SHADOW BOXING IS VERY EASY TO PICK UP AND YOU MAY BE SURPRISED HOW THERAPEUTIC AND EFFECTIVE AN EXERCISE IT IS!        FIGHTING STANCE!

Stand sideways with your feet shoulder -width apart Your front foot faces forward and your rear foot slightly outwards. Keep the weight distributed evenly on both legs. Make sure your knees are soft and your bodyweight is on the balls of your feet. With closed fists and bent elbows, keep your arms close to your body.DSC_0257_pp
